Getting used to the crèche

Patience - time - trust

We design the child's acclimatization as a gentle introduction. This time takes place with a trusted family person and depends on the individual needs of the children and parents.

The group staff tries to make contact with the child slowly and carefully and, through the presence of a parent, has the opportunity to learn a lot about the child's habits and needs.

We are following the approaches of the Berlin and Munich familiarization model.

As a rule, getting used to the crèche takes 1-3 weeks.

You can get an insight into the phases of the typical process model below:

Basic phase
Getting to know each other phase: Day 1 - 3

First attempt at separation
Safety phase: from day 4

Stabilization phase

Trust phase: after about a week

Final phase

Phase of joint reflection: after approx. two weeks

A successful separation can only be achieved if the parents, their child and also the daycare staff

trust. The acclimatization phase ends at the earliest when

when the child has established a stable relationship with the teacher.
